Actor Jennifer Garner recently shared a light-hearted and funny memory about her ex-husband Ben Affleck, and fans found it very relatable.
As per People.com, Jennifer Garner was speaking at a book event in Los Angeles, where she appeared with author Laura Dave and actress Rita Wilson. The event was held to discuss their upcoming Apple TV+ project, The Last Thing He Told Me.
During the talk, Garner opened up about a quirky habit Ben Affleck had while working on films. She asked the audience if anyone listens to the same song again and again while working. Then she laughed and said she had already “survived” living through that situation.
Jennifer Garner explained that while Affleck was filming The Town in Massachusetts, he became obsessed with one song — Halo by Beyoncé. According to her, Ben played the song on repeat for days.
At that time, Garner said she was living in a rented home with their young children, including a newborn baby. While she was busy nursing and taking care of the kids, Beyoncé’s song kept playing again and again in the background. She shared the story with humor, making it clear she now looks back at it with a smile.
Author Laura Dave added that she also works better while listening to music repeatedly, which made everyone laugh. The moment turned into a fun discussion about how creative people focus differently.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were married from 2005 to 2018 and share three children together. Even though they are no longer married, they are often praised for being good co-parents and staying supportive of each other.
Apart from the funny story, Jennifer Garner also recently appeared at the Golden Globe Awards 2026, where she wore a stunning gown covered with thousands of crystals. She later joked that the dress was so heavy she almost fell down the stairs.
This small behind-the-scenes story shows a human and playful side of Ben Affleck and reminds fans that even famous actors have everyday habits that feel very familiar.
