📍County Wicklow, Ireland

The story is set in the UK, but the series was shot across the Irish Sea. County Wicklow lies south of Dublin on Ireland’s east coast, and it has a long film history. It also has its own film commission, set up in 1992. Our Ireland page lists more films and series shot there. We could not find a Channel 4 or news source that names the exact houses, streets or studios used.
📍Bray, County Wicklow
Wikipedia names Bray as one of the filming locations. Bray is a seaside town about 20 km south of Dublin, and it is on the DART rail line. It is also home to Ardmore Studios, but we could not confirm whether the production used the studios. We could not confirm which streets, homes or buildings in Bray appeared in the series. Another series shot in Ireland is Marble Hall Murders.
Visiting: Bray is an ordinary working town, so you can walk its streets and seafront. It is best not to assume that any particular house or shop is a filming spot.
📍Other Areas of Wicklow
We could not confirm any other town or venue by name. We will update this guide as soon as exact places are confirmed. If you like British crime dramas, our guide to Winter is a good next read.
Hunting Alice Bell Behind the Scenes
To make your search for Hunting Alice Bell filming even more interesting, here is some background. David Baddiel had originally written the story as a film about ten years earlier, and it grew into a six-part series. He has said it was inspired by real cases of UK women who were terrorised by locals over suspicions that they were national hate figures. Simon Pegg reportedly joined because of his friendship with Baddiel, and the Irish musician Daithí wrote the score. Cathy Newman, Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart also appear as themselves, according to Wikipedia. For another twisty watch, browse our mystery guides.

Is There Any Trailer Available for Hunting Alice Bell?
Yes. Channel 4 released the first trailer around October 21, 2026, after it shared first-look images in July 2026. Deadline says it opens with Simon Pegg’s character, the killer Jason Nash, watching a news report about Alice Bell’s new identity. It then shows vigilante groups arriving at the homes of the accused women. You can watch it on Channel 4’s official YouTube channel.
