Dan Hegel’s upcoming movie is on the way as the filming for ‘The Short Game, continues this week.
Tuesday’s (1, August) set was a MG’s Restaurant, the manager of the restaurant, Chanel Stiggers revealed that this is a great opportunity for restaurants and other small businesses to be showcased.
”I think we have a lot of cool mom-and-pop local businesses, and I think we’ve all been in business for so long and everybody cares about us and wants to keep us open,” the manager said.
He continued, “Just to be on the map like that, it’s really cool.” The filming would only take 21 days in total. When production ends at the golf course, the crew will move to various locations around Sherman.
On 26, July 2023, Wednesday, Legacy Ridge Country Club in Bonham turned its golf course into a movie set as the filming for the Sherman-Based Film, The Short Game begins.
The film is focused on a local story about the reconciliation of the two Sherman brothers. One aims to get a golf scholarship, and the other is autistic. Along the way, they learn that they are better off together.
The Short Game filming was delayed by a week due to the SAG AFRTRA strike, as actors of Hollywood and writers want better pay and protection from streaming and artificial intelligence.
The film is directed by, Dan Hegel and Co-executively produced by, Joren Christensen.
