An upcoming American biographical drama film about the life of singer and songwriter Bob Marley with name “The untitled Bob Marley” is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, and written by Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers, and Terence Winter.
The filming of the film began in December 2022, in London and wrapped up in April of 2023. The film is set to be released by Paramount Pictures on January 12, 2024.
The film star Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley and Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley along with Michael Gandolfini, Nadine Marshall, James Norton, and Anthony Welsh.
The story will follow the whole life of Bob who spent a lot of time in London back in the ’70s while working on his album Exodus, which was released in 1977. Bob died in 1981 at age 36 because of cancer.
“We just finished the movie. Not titled yet, but the film is about the life story of mi faada, mi madda too. The foundation of it is from 1976 to 1978 the assassination attempt, to the return to the one Love Concert,” Ziggy the Producer of the film told Irie FM’s Kabu on The Running African program.
