Where was Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Filmed?
Filming for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves began in early April 2021 in Iceland and then the cast and crew went to Northern Ireland for the further shooting of the film.
The principal photography was done in Belfast, Northern Ireland in May 2021. On August 19, 2021, director Daley announced that filming had been completed.

Iceland
Initially, the filming began in Iceland in early April 2021 with around 60-70 crew members. As the scenes of Iceland are used as a backdrop for the story in the film no cast member moved there with the crew.
Carrickfergus, County Antrim
Carrickfergus is one of the oldest towns in Ireland’s history. Some Part of the film takes place in Carrickfergus, a town in County Antrim which is located 18.5 kilometers northeast of Belfast.
Carrickfergus is a beautiful small town and Carrickfergus Castle which is known as the heart and soul of the city is used in the film.
Clandeboye Estate, Bangor, County Down
Some filming for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is done in Clandeboye Estate, Bangor, County Down. Bangor is another beautiful, historical city in Northern Ireland. Clandeboye which is featured in the film includes the big Clandeboy House and a large wooded area which is the Estate’s grounds.
Castle Ward, Strangford, County Down
Castle Ward is one of the most popular sights seen in Strangford. It is a part of the Northern Trust of Northern Ireland.
Castle ward is a Gothic-style mansion that is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and woodlands. The Famous Winterfell of Game of Thrones was filmed in Castle Ward.
Belfast, County Antrim
Most of the filming of D&D: Honor Among Thieves took place in Belfast which is the capital city of Northern Ireland.
Belfast is located next to the River Lagan which was the birthplace of the most well-known ship in history called Titanic.
About the Filming of the movie, Goldstein stated that “when the cast arrived in Ireland they played a several-hours-long game of D&D with the actors role-playing as their film characters which, gave those who were not familiar with [D&D] a quick taste of what the game is like and how you interact”.
This game “also informed the directors’ takes on the characters” with Goldstein commenting that “I think we incorporated some of the things we learned from that game into the film”. (Source: IMDB)
