The American teen drama television series “Euphoria” was not easy to film for Dominic Fike who played the role of Elliot.

Dominic Fike shared he had a hard time filming the series wasn’t an easy experience. As the series focuses on a troubled teenager who suffers from the problem of a drug addict named Rue Bennett played by Zendaya.

Dominic has also dealt with addiction issues for many years and had also been to rehab before he was cast in the series, but he explained he had trouble staying sober during the filming of the series.

In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Dominic Fike shared, “I mean, I was a drug addict, and coming onto a show mainly about drugs, it was very difficult,”. “Sam, the director, and writer, he got me a sober coach, somebody to be there all the time. It did not work. … I was so fucked up doing a lot of that show.” He continued

Dominic added, “Things got really bad and I was eventually reprimanded for my actions”. “I almost got kicked off the show…they were like, ‘Bro, you cannot be doing this,'” he said

“They had to…that’s entertainment, dude, They give you a bunch of money and they’re just like, ‘Yeah, figure it out, bud. Sink or swim.'” he further added.

The series is coming back with Season 3, and now that Dominic is sober, he will be filming Season 3 and he said it is going to be a very different experience for him. You can see the whole interview on the Apple music youtube channel.
