‘Creed III’ Trailer Explained

Creed III starring Michael B. Jordan’s trailer has been officially released. It’s a 2023 American sports drama film and the sequel to Creed II (2018) and the ninth installment in the Rocky film series.

In the trailer, we can see Adonis Creed as Michael B. Jordan with a well-settled boxing career and family life but then he reunites with one of his childhood friends who is also a former boxing prodigy, Damian Anderson as Jonathan Majors, who served a long sentence in prison. After coming out of prison he tried to meet his old friend and he wanted to prove that he thinks that he deserves his shot in the ring.

And The face-off between the former friends is more than just a fight because of their past and to settle the score, Donnie was putting his future on the line to battle Dame – a fighter who has nothing to lose. Here is the official trailer for the film.

Creed III has world premiered in Mexico City on February 9, 2023, and is set to release by United Artists Releasing in the United States and Warner Bros. Pictures internationally on March 3, 2023.

Updated July 2026. The trailer delivered: Creed III opened to a franchise-best $58.6 million domestically, the biggest debut ever for a sports film, and went on to gross $276.1 million worldwide with an 89% Rotten Tomatoes score — making it the highest-grossing film in the Creed/Rocky series. A fourth film is now in development, with Michael B. Jordan again set to direct; producer Irwin Winkler has said the strikes pushed the timeline back, with pre-production picking up afterward.
