Netflix’s Crime Thriller Hit Ripley is based on the 1955 crime novel “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” which was penned by American novelist and short story writer Patricia Highsmith.

Zaillian, the creator of Netflix’s Ripley starring Andrew Scott, shares his thoughts on the possibility of a season 2 he said He Feels There’s Still More Story to Tell.

Collider held an interview with series creator and writer Steven Zaillian to discuss Ripley.

During the conversation, when the producer was asked whether there could be a season 2 of this series, he expressed nervousness and said It took them almost 5 years to bring this series to the screen.

Steven Zaillian Explained:-

“There are other books and they’re really good. I would do it again if I was able to, but by that I mean, do I have another five years to do it? I’d have to think about that aspect of it. But in terms of the character continuing, yes, I think there’s a lot more with Tom Ripley.”

He further added:-

“Tom Ripley goes through a lot of changes over the course of the five books, and they’re all interesting, so, yeah, absolutely. And there have been movies made about the other books, too. So, given the right circumstances, yes.”

It took them a long time to bring the first season to the screen, which is why he is worried about the production time.

Along with Andrew, other cast members in this series include Dakota Fanning, Johnny Flynn, Eliot Sumner, Margherita Buy, and Maurizio Lombardi.
