Towards Zero is an exciting new BBC One series based on Agatha Christie‘s 1944 novel. This 3-part mystery follows a British tennis player caught in a murder case while staying at his aunt’s house on the south coast of England in the 1930s.

Along with the Thanksgiving and The Witches star Anjelica Huston The other series stars include Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ella Lily Hyland, Mimi Keene, Jackie Clune, Grace Doherty, and Jack Farthing.

The series will premiere on BBC One on 2 March 2025, with all episodes available on BBC iPlayer on the same day.

  • Bristol Cathedral: The nave of the cathedral was used to represent the exterior of Westminster’s Royal Courts of Justice. It was a perfect choice because the same architect designed both buildings.

  • Frog Lane: This street was transformed into a 1930s London road. The grey architecture of Frog Lane gave it a stylish, old-fashioned look.

  • Bristol Masonic Hall: This historic building was used as the Wimbledon changing room for scenes featuring tennis matches.
  • Tyntesfield House: This grand National Trust property was used for the kitchen and servants’ quarters of Gulls Point, the family estate in the story.

  • Burgh Island Hotel, Kingsbridge: This famous Art Deco hotel was used for scenes set at Easterhead Bay Hotel. Its seawater swimming pool also doubled as a hotel in Nice, France, where two characters meet.
  • Bantham Beach and Thurlestone Beach: These sandy shores became the fictional Saltcreek and Gulls Point beaches in the series.
  • The Forum Bath: The production team built stylish interiors to match Burgh Island Hotel’s exterior.

Many of the interior and exterior scenes featured in the series were filmed at Neston Park House, Wiltshire. This elegant house was used for Gulls Point, the main setting of the mystery. Visual effects helped make it look like it stood on a Devon cliffside.
