Avatar surpasses Titanic and becomes the world’s third-highest-grossing film

Avatar is a 2009 epic science fiction film that has been renewed for its first sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, which was released on December 16, 2022, and planning for sequels 3 and 4.

According to Variety, Avatar surpasses Titanic and becomes the world’s third-highest-grossing film, and Avatar: The Way of Water has already secured third place in box office standings with an overseas total of $1.538 billion leaving behind Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame and Avatar.

Although it has not yet surpassed Titanic’s worldwide box office total for that they need only $20 million more to pass that Titanic, which seems easy to able to do within the next week seeing the success of the film. Here is the official trailer.

Cast members include Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald reprising their roles from the original film and started filming on August 15, 2017, with Manhattan Beach, California. The film was nominated for four awards at the 95th Academy Awards.
