Aspyn Ovard is giving her followers a raw and honest look at what it’s really like behind the scenes of her new reality TV venture — and it hasn’t been easy.
The 30-year-old influencer, who was officially announced as part of the cast of Hulu’s upcoming spinoff The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County on April 22, recently shared a candid vlog on her TikTok account documenting a full day of filming. In the clip, posted on May 6, Ovard appeared visibly exhausted and emotional as she wrapped up the video from her kitchen at 5:00 a.m. — having not slept at all the previous night.
“I came home and was just dead, and then didn’t sleep all night because I have so much anxiety,” she said in the video, also mentioning that her body felt shaky and that she planned to take anxiety medication before her daughters woke up.

A Challenging Day on Set
While Ovard kept the specific filming details under wraps to avoid spoilers, she shared clips of herself grabbing lunch between shoots and riding Ubers across Orange County from one location to the next. She also reunited with her girlfriend, Bri Davis, during the day — a relationship that drew significant public attention given that Davis is married and Ovard has indicated she is simultaneously in a relationship with Davis’s husband as well.
The influencer explained that one of her biggest struggles during filming is figuring out what she can show on her personal social media accounts without revealing too much. She didn’t want to appear on camera looking upset or elated without being able to give her audience the full context behind her emotions.
“Yesterday was a lot,” she said, reflecting on what had clearly been an emotionally draining filming day.
Joining a Star-Studded Cast
Ovard joins an exciting lineup of influencers and online personalities for the Orange County spinoff, including Bobbi Althoff, Madison Bontempo (widely recognized from the FishFam YouTube channel), Avery Woods, and Salomé Andrea. The series will also feature Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, and McCall DaPron, whose sister is original MomTok star Mayci Neeley.
The spinoff is set to stream on Hulu — and for bundle subscribers, also on Hulu on Disney+ — sometime in 2026. PEOPLE first reported back in March that the spinoff was in development, amid word that the original Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast had paused production on Season 5.
“I Said I’d Never Do Reality TV”
In a separate TikTok posted on April 23, Ovard admitted that signing on to this show was a significant change of heart for her. “There’s probably multiple Q&A’s on my YouTube channel over the years of me saying I would never do reality TV — but here we are,” she said with a laugh.
Having built her career on YouTube and social media over the past 15 years, Ovard acknowledged she had little familiarity with how reality television productions work behind the scenes. Still, she said the show felt like the right opportunity to finally share more of her personal story — especially after years of keeping things close to the chest following her 2024 divorce from Parker Ferris, with whom she shares three daughters.
“I’ve said many times it’s been very, very hard for me to share my life the last few years,” she explained. “I just honestly have not known how — with everything that has happened.”
Protecting Her Kids on Camera
Ovard also addressed fan questions about whether her children would appear in the series. Her answer was clear: they will not. She mentioned that if her daughters happen to wander into a shot, she plans to either blur their faces or only show the backs of their heads, firmly prioritizing their privacy and safety.
Despite the anxiety and emotional toll of filming, Ovard expressed hope that the experience would ultimately be a healing process — a chance to finally step out of what she described as feeling like she had been “hiding” for the past several years.
