Carême is Apple TV+‘s new upcoming French-language television series which was created by Ian Kelly and directed by Martin Bourboulon. It is also based on Ian Kelly’s book Cooking for Kings: The Life of Antonin Carême, The First Celebrity Chef which was published in 2003.
Along with The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan star Lyna Khoudri, the other stars in this series include Benjamin Voisin, Jérémie Renier, and Eric Geynes.
The story follows Antoine Carême, a boy born during the French Revolution. He grows up poor but works hard to become one of the greatest chefs in history. Along the way, he cooks for famous people like Napoleon, Tsar Alexander, and the wealthy Rothschild family.
