Anna Pigeon is the new crime drama that turns a national park into a crime scene every week. A woman leaves her old life behind to become a park ranger, only to find the wilderness hides just as much danger as the city did.

Anna Pigeon was filmed almost entirely in Alberta, Canada, from late July 30, 2025 to around November 25, 2025. The show is set in Montana’s Glacier National Park, but not one frame was shot there. Alberta’s mountains and small towns built Anna’s world instead, according to the Calgary Herald and USA Network.

Most of the wilderness on screen was filmed around Bragg Creek and neighboring Kananaskis Country. This area stood in for Glacier National Park for at least half of season one, according to the Calgary Herald.
The crew’s home base was the Bragg Creek Backlot, also known as the Artek Backlot, on Alliance Road off Highway 66. Right across from it sits Easter Seals Camp Horizon at 1 Camp Horizon Road, another key shooting site.
Out in Kananaskis Country, the team filmed at McLean Creek Campground on McLean Creek Trail and at Canyon Creek Ice Cave, plus Elbow Falls and Forgetmenot Pond. Mount Baldy also turns up in the background of several shots, often visible across the water at Barrier Lake.
The production also used a private luxury home in Bragg Creek for interior scenes, easy to spot by its copper roof and stone-clad main house. Barrier Lake was the furthest the team traveled; producer Leslie Cowan told the Calgary Herald, “We really pulled out all the stops by shooting at Barrier Lake.”
Cinematographer Paul Sarossy called it an “amazing time shooting Anna Pigeon in the wilderness of Alberta,” crediting his camera crew by name in a post about the shoot.

The crew took over the Highwood Centre, a real event venue on 5th Avenue Southwest in High River, filming there on September 9 and 10. They dressed it up as the fictional Copperhill Bank with new signage and an American flag, according to the Western Wheel.

Downtown Calgary plays itself in flashbacks to Anna’s old New York City life. It also hosted real indoor filming at Ranchman’s Cookhouse & Dancehall, 9615 Macleod Trail South, where Spiridakos and Helfer were photographed on set.
Calgary’s public art snuck into a shot too — the “Conversation” sculpture appears behind Helfer in one scene, according to Hollywood North Buzz.
