Upcoming Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Director Adam Wingard has prioritized the ThunderCats movie reboot despite his busy schedule and confirmed his ongoing work on the script.
Director Adam Wingard joined the ThunderCats movie reboot project three years ago and now the latest update has been received.
A concept for the animated film is already in the works at Warner Bros. and Wingard has been signed on to write and direct the film in early 2021.
Wingard joined an interview with io9 for the upcoming Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire release, In which he also gave an update on the upcoming reboot of Thundercats.
Wingard said:-
“Simon [Barrett] and I are still actively working on the script,”
“We finished our last draft basically right when I was going into production on this movie and we just had to put everything on hold. [But] right now we’re actively working on it again. So whether that means that’s the next thing I do or [not], I’m not sure. But it’s definitely one of the top priorities I have right now in terms of working on a script.”
