Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are once together and fans never forget that though both are now happy in their own life.
During a recent conversation of Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow in Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop podcast, he reminded everyone that Scarlett was once been married to Ryan Reynolds in the mid-2000s.
Gwyneth Paltrow asked Scarlett, “You’ve been married two times?” and she corrected her, saying: “Three times.”
Then Gwyneth said in a funny way “Oh that’s right, because I forgot that you were married to Ryan Reynolds! Goals!” Johansson laughed and said “We weren’t married very long, but we were when I first met you, for Iron Man or whatever,”. Gwyneth quipped, “It still counts!” and Scarlett said “He’s a good guy!“
Reynolds and Johansson got married in September 2008 at a private ceremony and then in December 2010, they both announced their split news in a joint statement.
“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.” they told People.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds: Where Things Stand Now (2026)
Updated July 2026. Johansson and Reynolds’ marriage ended back in 2011, and both have since built separate families. Johansson married Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost in 2020 and shares son Cosmo with him, alongside daughter Rose from a prior relationship, while Reynolds married Blake Lively in 2012 and the couple now has four children together. Both actors have kept thriving careers since — Johansson remains a Marvel Cinematic Universe mainstay, and Reynolds has continued expanding the Deadpool franchise and his other business ventures.
