Pride and Prejudice is a 2026 period romance drama limited series from Netflix, made by Lookout Point, a BBC Studios company. It is written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn, based on Jane Austen’s 1813 novel.
It stars Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, with Olivia Colman and Rufus Sewell as Mr. and Mrs. Bennet. The cast also includes Freya Mavor, Rhea Norwood, Daryl McCormack, Louis Partridge, Fiona Shaw and Jamie Demetriou. It was filmed in England.
Elizabeth Bennet is the second of five daughters, and her family home can only pass to a male heir. The pressure to marry well sets her path against the proud Mr. Darcy, and the story follows how pride and prejudice stand in the way of their love.
All six episodes arrive on Netflix on December 3, 2026. The series comes from a team that includes Lookout Point’s Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter, and Corrin is an executive producer for the first time.

Austen set the story in Hertfordshire, and the production spread across several English counties to build that world.
📍Golden Parsonage, Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire

IMDb lists Hertfordshire as the filming location. According to reports based on Dolly Alderton’s production diary, the house at Golden Parsonage in Great Gaddesden stood in for Longbourn, the Bennet family home, with the first day of filming on July 28, 2025. The diary entry describes Mrs. Bennet and her daughters in the garden after the Netherfield ball. We could not confirm how many scenes were shot there. Please treat the house as reported.
Visiting: Since it is private land, please do not visit. The filming connection does not mean the property is open to the public. Another 2026 drama shot in this county is I Am Helen.
📍Rye, East Sussex
Rye stands in for Meryton, the market town near the Bennets’ home. Rye News reported on September 11, 2025, that the town’s streets were transformed for the shoot. Alderton’s production diary entry of September 8, 2025, places the crew in Rye for Meryton scenes, including a market with livestock. The cobbled streets and half-timbered houses needed very little change to look like Regency England.
Visiting: Rye is a public town, so you can walk its old streets. Please check before you go if you want a particular building.
📍Spitalfields, London
My London reported in August 2025 that Jack Lowden was spotted filming as Mr. Darcy in East London. Reports based on Alderton’s diary say carriage scenes with Lowden were shot in Spitalfields on August 8, 2025. We could not confirm the exact streets. Our London page lists more titles shot in the city.
Visiting: Spitalfields is a public part of the East End, but we could not confirm a particular filming spot.
📍Peak District, Derbyshire
Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden were photographed filming a moorland scene in the Peak District, according to the Express Tribune, in August 2025. An onlooker said Lowden rode a horse across the countryside before meeting Corrin. We could not confirm the exact spot in the national park, or which property, if any, stands in for Pemberley.
Visiting: The Peak District National Park is public, but we could not confirm the filming spot.
📍Deal and Botany Bay, Broadstairs, Kent
What’s on Netflix lists Deal and Botany Bay in Broadstairs, Kent, among the places the crew worked, in and around London. The sea towns and chalk coast give the series its seaside look. We could not confirm which scenes were shot there.
Visiting: Both places are public, and Botany Bay is a beach you can visit.
📍Harewood House, Leeds, West Yorkshire

Harewood House, near Leeds, reportedly plays Pemberley, Mr. Darcy’s estate, in the series. The Conversation wrote in March 2026 that Harewood will become Pemberley, with Yorkshire standing in for Derbyshire. Dolly Alderton’s production diary refers to the filming location as Pemberley but does not name the property, so please treat the match as reported.
Reports place the filming in mid-August 2025, with scenes of Elizabeth’s first view of Pemberley and her meeting with Darcy. The house was built between 1759 and 1771 for Edwin Lascelles, and it has also appeared in Victoria and the 2019 film Downton Abbey.
Visiting: Harewood House is open to visitors, but only in the seasons and on the days it announces, so please check the opening times before you go.
📍West Wycombe Park, Buckinghamshire

West Wycombe Park is reportedly one of the country houses used for the series. It is a Grade I listed Palladian mansion, remodelled from around 1735 by Sir Francis Dashwood, and it is managed by the National Trust. VisitBritain lists it as a location from The Crown. We could not find a second report naming it for Pride and Prejudice, or which scenes were shot there, so please treat it as reported.
Visiting: The house is open only on selected days, so please check the National Trust website before visiting.
📍Long Gallery, Hatfield House, Hertfordshire

The Long Gallery at Hatfield House is reportedly among the interiors used by the production. Robert Cecil, the 1st Earl of Salisbury, built the house between 1607 and 1612, and it is still the home of the Salisbury family. Hatfield House has appeared in Bridgerton, Paddington and Enola Holmes. We could not find a second report naming it for this series, or the scenes shot there, so please treat it as reported.
Visiting: It is a private family home that opens to visitors in certain seasons, so please check before you go.
📍Other Areas
We could not confirm any other exact place. One filming-location listing names more venues, such as Brocket Hall, Belton House and Ealing Studios, but we could not confirm them, so please treat them as unverified. We will update this guide as soon as more places are confirmed. For another English romance drama, take a look at Adultery, and our England page lists more titles.
Pride and Prejudice Behind the Scenes
To make your search for Pride and Prejudice filming even more interesting, here are a few details. Netflix shared the first look photos of the Bennet family and their suitors at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath, England. Alderton wrote all six episodes, and Lyn directed them. The Express Tribune reported at the start of filming that the famous lake scene from the 1995 adaptation is reportedly not in this version, but we could not confirm that.
Fun fact: Alderton has said she wanted the series to be “the blueprint for romantic comedy”. Her production diary for British Vogue is where many of the filming details come from.
We will add more cast and crew Instagram posts and set photos here as soon as they are shared.
Is There Any Trailer Available for Pride and Prejudice?
Yes. Netflix released a teaser on February 24, 2026, which shows Elizabeth on a roof and Darcy arriving on horseback. A full trailer followed on October 29, 2026, according to Netflix Tudum, with candlelit ballrooms and the fields of Hertfordshire.
Pride and Prejudice streams only on Netflix. All six episodes are released on December 3, 2026, in Netflix countries worldwide. It is a Netflix original, so we do not expect it on other streaming services.
