Mistletoe Murders Season 3 is the 2026 return of the Christmas mystery series from Hallmark Media, produced by Lionsgate Canada and Headspinner Productions. It was created by Ken Cuperus, who is also the showrunner. Sarah Drew stars as Emily Lane and Peter Mooney plays Detective Sam Wilner. Aaron Ashmore returns, and Catherine Bell and Holly Robinson Peete join the cast this season. It was filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario.
Emily runs a year-round Christmas shop, Under the Mistletoe, in the small town of Fletcher’s Grove. She keeps getting pulled into murder cases alongside Detective Sam. Season 3 picks up straight after the Season 2 cliffhanger, when Emily’s past comes knocking at her door.
Season 3 premieres on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel, as part of Countdown to Christmas. It has six episodes, released weekly, and it is a mystery series based on the Audible audio drama of the same name. Seasons 1 and 2 arrived on Netflix in the US on November 1, 2026.

📍WFW Studios Backlot, Pickering, Ontario
Address: 3800 Sideline 32, Pickering, ON L0H 1J0, Canada
Fletcher’s Grove is a fictional town, and its main-street exteriors are built on a backlot at 3800 Sideline 32 in Pickering, east of Toronto, according to The Cinemaholic. The lot was first built for the Prime Video series Reacher. It has red brick facades, a diner and a town hall, and the crew dresses the front of Emily’s shop and the other businesses.
Sarah Drew described the setting as “its own little fake town”. Peter Mooney said the cast and crew find it muddy, with no water or power, and generators are used. The production’s own cast also say they love it. We could not find a Season 3-specific report confirming the backlot, but it has been the show’s main-street set in the earlier seasons.
Visiting: Since it is a private working studio lot, please do not visit.
📍Toronto, Ontario
Toronto is the production base, and IMDb and production listings give the filming location for all seasons as Toronto. Season 3 is listed with a Toronto shoot as well. Under the Mistletoe is a built set rather than a real shop, and The Cinemaholic says it is not based on any real store. We could not confirm which interiors were shot in Toronto studios or which streets or buildings were used. Our Canada page lists more films and series shot in the country.
Visiting: Toronto is a public city, but we could not confirm a visitable filming spot.
📍Other Areas
We could not confirm any other named place for Season 3, including the “United States” shoot in one listing. We will update this guide as soon as exact places are confirmed. For other Hallmark holiday stories shot in Canada, see Adopting St. Nick and ‘Tis the Season for Setups.
Mistletoe Murders Season 3 Behind the Scenes
To make your search for Mistletoe Murders Season 3 filming even more interesting, here is what we know so far. The new season’s episodes are titled “Don’t Fear the Wreather”, “We Three Kims” and “A Mystery on 34th Street”, and each story runs across two parts. Entertainment Now says the first mystery involves Catherine Bell. The season also goes deeper into Emily’s past at Chimera, with flashbacks, and her friendship with Sam’s daughter, Violet, is tested.
Fun fact: the series is named after a Christmas-murder audio drama by Ken Cuperus, and the fictional town of Fletcher’s Grove is a nod to Jessica Fletcher of Murder, She Wrote. Our Marble Hall Murders guide covers another mystery series.
We will add more cast and crew Instagram posts and set photos here as soon as they are shared.
