The Buccaneers has officially wrapped its third season — and the cast made sure fans knew about it the moment filming concluded.
Production on Season 3 of the Apple TV+ period drama began in February 2026 and came to a close this week, with stars Aubri Ibrag and Josie Totah confirming the wrap on August 7 via their Instagram Stories. Their posts followed a series of behind-the-scenes teases from Kristine Frøseth — who plays lead character Nan — that had been building anticipation over the preceding days, according to TV Insider.

Confirmed returnees for the new season include Frøseth and Christina Hendricks, with the wider ensemble from Season 2 — including Alisha Boe, Ibrag, Totah, Imogen Waterhouse, Mia Threapleton, Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome, and Barney Fishwick — strongly suggesting their continued involvement based on the behind-the-scenes imagery shared across social media.
The headline casting addition is Paul Wesley — best known to audiences as Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries — who joins the series as Frank, described as a mysterious and charming stranger whose arrival into Nan and Mrs. St. George’s world sets off a chain of consequences neither of them anticipated.

The new season continues following the group of American women navigating English society, friendship, romance, and personal reinvention. Season 3 brings the Buccaneers together in pursuit of the loves of their lives — while also introducing a new and deeply unpredictable Duke whose arrival threatens the future of Tintagel itself. Series creator Katherine Jakeways described the character as someone who will make the disruption the American girls previously caused look mild by comparison.
Jakeways marked the Season 3 renewal with characteristic warmth, describing the experience of returning to the show’s world and its Tintagel cliffside settings as something she and the team genuinely cherish.
