According to CNN Travel Reports, The underground structure was built as an actual home centuries ago by one of the “Berbers,” descendants of the pre-Arab inhabitants of North Africa. It was later converted into a hotel that was used for the filming of Star Wars’ first film.

When the crew left after the filming of the first film, the view of this place was reduced, but when Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones was filmed in 2002, this set was rebuilt.

Since then, this set has been created so that visitors and Star Wars fans can experience the world of Star Wars and dine at the table where young Master Luke dined.
