County Galway is on Ireland’s western seaboard. The areas feature rolling farmland plains. The film was filmed in Inishmore in the Aran Islands on Galway Bay, off the west coast of Ireland. Sequences of the movie were filmed at Connemara in County Galway, particularly in Connemara National Park which has mountains, bogs, heathland, and lakes.

2. Carton House Hotel, County Kildare, Ireland

County Kildare is west of Ireland’s capital, Dublin. The scene where Jeremy, Anna’s boyfriend, proposes to her is set in a Dublin hotel lobby and Carton House Hotel in Maynooth acts as a stand-in for the Dublin hotel lobby.

This luxury resort is on 1,100 private acres and with ancient woodlands, lakes, and the perfect backdrop for the country mansion. 

The Cruachan Dam located in Argyll and Bute and established on October 15, 1965, is a pumped-storage hydroelectric power station.

3. County Wicklow, Ireland

County Wicklow is a region south of Dublin in the east of Ireland. The filming crew used a studio for interior scenes The Ardmore Studios in Herbert Road in Bray and The historical Luggala Estate are also seen in the movie. The village of Enniskerry is also used in the film.
