Hollywood Strike Halts ‘Tehran’ Filming: Production Comes to a Standstill as Industry Faces Major Disruptions

Hollywood Strike Halts ‘Tehran’ Filming: It’s sad news for fans of Tehran, as the Hollywood strike has halted the shooting of ‘Tehran’, which means fans of the film will have to wait longer.

The shooting of the well-known Israeli spy thriller series “Tehran” has been halted as part of the massive strikes that have brought Hollywood to a standstill.

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 12, Sultan revealed that only five days of shooting left to finish the season, and Israel’s public broadcaster Cannes. It is reported that Hugh Laurie is set to join the cast for the upcoming season.

Apple TV+ announced that Tehran has been renewed for season 3 on February 28, 2023, and also revealed that it is currently in production.

It was expected that the series was set to release in late 2023, but due to strikes, the release date can shift.

A source told Channel 12 that “the decision ultimately belongs to Apple” and that “some of the actors were told that they should prepare to finish.”

It is the first time since 1960 that both actors and writers are on strike at the same time – the impact on the wider film and TV industry is not yet clear but is expected to be seismic.

The strike was started in the month of May and it is still continued just because the filming industry is facing major disruptions.

Only Tehran is not influenced by the SAG-AFTRA strike, several movies and tv shows are also kept on hold, some of them include, Venom 3, Deadpool 3, Gladiator 2, Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch remake, Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part 2, and Brad Pitt’s untitled F1 drama.
