The filming location of any movie plays an important part and Venom 3 will reportedly start filming soon, and the filming location might offer a glimpse to the fans about what the film has to offer.
Venom 3 which is the sequel to 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, was announced in 2022 and most probably will be the final installment in the symbiote trilogy by Sony Pictures Releasing. There are still many details of the film Venom 3 plot, cast, and other details that are undisclosed but it has been announced that Kelly Marcel will be the writer and director of the film like the other installments.
According to reports the filming of movie will take place in Cartagena, Spain, and will start in a few days. Murcia Today also reported that the Venom 3 production crew has been spotted building sets for weeks in Los Mateos, a neighborhood in Cartegena.
The Cartagena City Council also confirmed the news of filming and that they approved the filming of Venom 3 in Calblanque which is a nature reserve on Spain’s coast that is surrounded by beautiful beaches and considered to be one of the most untouched areas of the Murcian coast on the Costa Cálida.
Production manager Tate Aráez also told, “Los Mateos was chosen because it closely resembles some streets in Mexico.” The film cast also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor who will play the role of the potential villain of movie. Juno Temple has been added as an additional cast but the role is still undisclosed.

Venom 3 Update (2026)
Updated July 2026. The filming clues discussed in this piece led to Venom: The Last Dance, released October 25, 2024, which closed out the live-action trilogy that began with Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). Rather than continuing with a fourth live-action film, Sony Pictures has pivoted the character’s future toward an animated feature directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein (Final Destination: Bloodlines), set in its own continuity apart from Tom Hardy’s trilogy. Hardy is expected to stay involved in some capacity, and Marvel/Sony have teased additional Venom projects across comics, TV, and games arriving through 2026.
