The Rookie is an American police procedural crime drama television series just aired its season 5 final and in April 2023, the series was renewed for a sixth season.
The Rookie is one of the veteran series ABC that has been renewed for 2023-24 and the other also includes Abbott Elementary and Grey’s Anatomy. The Rookie is created by Alexi Hawley that follows John Nolan, a man in his forties, who becomes the oldest rookie at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Entertainment One along with ABC Signature produces the series and the series executive producers are Fillion, Mark Gordon, Michelle Chapman, and Jon Steinberg. After season 6 of the series is produced the series will cross the 100-episode milestone.
The Rookie season 6 release date?
ABC has announced that The Rookie is officially back for season 6. The show’s official Instagram announced the news by posting a video and captioning it with, “It’s official,” the show wrote on Instagram on April 17. “#TheRookie will return for Season 6!!! 🎉💙.”
Nathan Fillion who played the role of John Nolan also shared a post on his Instagram account of a screenshot of a Deadline article and captioned it, “couldn’t be more proud of this show, and I couldn’t be happier about coming back for another season. I know what I think is going to happen this next season, but you tell me yours!”
The release date of the series season 6 is yet to be announced but as the green light is shown to the show we are sure they will announce the further details of the upcoming season soon and stay tuned for more updates.
