A YouTuber was driving a Lamborghini and along the way filming a video for his Youtube video when the car got crashed into a family car in Rome. During the incident, a five-year-old boy got killed and his mother and sister got injured Italian media have reported.
Out of five people in the sports car, Three of them belonged to a group called “The borderline” and they were playing a challenge to spend 50 hours straight in the luxury vehicle, according to the reports.
The crash took place on Wednesday 14 June 2023 afternoon and the five-year-old boy died on the way to the hospital. One of the youtube and also members of the group who have 600,000 subscribers posted on his Instagram post that he had not been the one driving and also said about the young victim’s family.
“I should propose and approve a new highway code … but in the face of a certain stupidity, which turns into tragedy, we can do nothing”. Matteo Salvini, Italy’s transport minister, posted on Facebook by writing.
Prosecutors are investigating the driver on a possible charge of causing death by dangerous driving according to the ANSA news agency.

Rome Crash Case Concludes With a Sentencing (2026 Update)
Updated July 2026. The legal case stemming from this tragedy has concluded. Matteo Di Pietro, the driver of the Lamborghini, accepted a plea bargain and was sentenced by a Rome court to four years and four months in prison on charges of aggravated road homicide and causing bodily harm. His legal team said he would serve the sentence through alternative measures rather than in prison, and that he had expressed remorse and pledged to take part in road-safety awareness campaigns going forward.
