The Goonies is a 1985 American adventure comedy film. The film is co-produced and directed by Richard Donner, who is well known for Superman in1978, Ladyhawke in 1985, and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut in1980 from a screenplay by Chris Columbus, the film is based on a story which is written by Steven Spielberg.
The scenes of the film are very beautiful, most of the scenes of The Goonies are filmed in the County Jail: Jailhouse, The Goonies House, Flavel House Museum, Ecola State Park, and Cannon Beach.
County Jail: Jailhouse: County Jail: Jailhouse is one of the most well-known Goonies filming locations in Astoria. The county jail in Astoria was the jailhouse where Jake Fratelli was held until his family helped him escape from the jail.
The Goonies House: The most famous Goonies filming location in Astoria and this is the place that all Goonies fans will want to know about. The owner of the house has welcomed Goonies fans in recent months. The address of the house is 368 38th Street, Astoria.
Flavel House Museum: This is one of the most beautiful buildings in Astoria, it is the Astoria Historical Museum. In the Goonies cycle down the hill past the museum in search of One-Eyed Willie. Mikey’s father, Mr. Walsh, worked as a museum curator in the film.
Ecola State Park: Ecola State Park is one of the best-known locations is the place where the Goonies started their treasure hunt. In the movie, Ecola State Park is known as the Lighthouse Lounge.
Cannon Beach: The impressive Cannon Beach is the place where the final scene from Point Break was filmed and the Fratelli car chase came to an end, it was filled with cars and spectators in the scene.
