A 2023 American action thriller film Guy Ritchie's The Covenant also known as "The Covenant" co-written, produced, and directed by Guy Ritchie.

The film is set during the war in Afghanistan and when a local interpreter put his own life at risk while carrying an injured sergeant across miles of grueling terrain.

The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Master Sgt. John Kinley and Dar Salim as Ahmed along with Sean Sagar, Jason Wong, and Rhys Yates.

Filming of the film started in February 2022 and wrapped up in late March of the same year. Under the working title “The Interpreter” but was officially titled Guy Ritchie's The Covenant.

The story is primarily based in Afghanistan but the production team set up camp in Spain and filmed in and around Spain.

Alicante, Spain:  Alicante is a city in the Valencian Community. The municipality of Sax in the comarca of Alto Vinalopó and Villajoyosa was used for shooting spots for the film.

Zaragoza, Spain: Zaragoza is the capital of northeastern Spain's Aragon region. The Zaragoza City Hall, the Cathedral of San Salvador, and different locations can be seen in the film.

Filming of most of the action sequences in the film was taped on location in and around the Zaragoza Air Base on Carr. del Aeropuerto, s/n, in Zaragoza.
