Mission: Impossible 7’s Tom Cruise established himself as an action star and has revealed why he chose to film the dangerous but sunning stunt on day one of Filming Biggest ‘Mission: Impossible 7’.
A 2023 American spy action film “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” was released on June 19, 2023, at the Spanish Steps in Rome and in the United States on July 12, by Paramount Pictures.
Mission: Impossible 7 includes many stunts and one of the crazy Tom Cruise motorcycle stunts for the movie is iconic in which Tom as Ethan Hunt, drives a motorcycle straight off a cliff and the motorcycle free falls and crashes below the cliff.
Tom explained the reason why they chose to start Mission: Impossible 7 with this scene as the stunt was filmed on day one of production.
“Well, we know either we will continue with the film or we’re not. Let’s know on day one! Let us know on day one what is going to happen: Do we all continue or is it a major rewrite?” Tom told Entertainment Tonight.
“I was training and I was ready. You have to be razor-sharp when you’re doing something like that. It was very important as we were prepping the film that it was actually the first thing. I don’t want to drop that and go shoot other things and have my mind somewhere else. Everyone was prepped. Let’s just get it done.” Tom added.
Mission: Impossible 7 Director Christopher McQuarrie also told Empire Magazine, “Doing that on day one gave us all the time in the world to understand why he [Ethan] was doing what he was doing. If we sat around and tried to figure out these movies the old-fashioned way, you’d never find it, simply because it’s such a living, breathing thing.”
