When and Where Was Hulu’s Series The Veil filmed?
📍Istanbul, Turkey
The Middle Eastern country Türkiye is the primary location chosen for the series. You have seen an aerial view around Turkey’s major city Istanbul in the Series, You can also see the Dome of Istanbul. As per Dec 31, 2020 census Istanbul’s total population was around 15.46 million.
In the series you will also find many scenes of Istanbul’s Balat, one of the oldest and most spectacular districts of Istanbul.
İstanbul extends across Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul’s Old City reflects the cultural influences of many empires. Noted for its Blue Mosque, Galata Tower, Sultanahmet Square, Çamlıca Hill, Grand Bazaar, and Dolmabahçe Palace.

Galata Tower is a Tower in Istanbul, Türkiye, formally known as Turris Sancte Crucis Holy Cross Tower, which was opened in 1349 and owned by the Directorate General of Foundations. You can clearly see many scenes around Galata Tower and night scenes of Galata Tower in the series.
📍Paris, France
The Western European country France is another filming location for The Veil. France is famous for its beautiful capital, Paris. You can clearly see the Eiffel Tower and its surrounding scenes in the series which was opened in March 31, 1889.
Paris is world famous for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Also, beautiful sites here include the Eiffel Tower and the Gothic Notre Dame Cathedral. Paris is also known as the City of Love.
Apart from the above locations, all airport scenes featured in the seris were recorded at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
📍Buttermarket, Canterbury, Kent, UK
To film the street scenes shown in the series, the film crew visited England and shot street scenes near Buttermarket, Canterbury, Kent, UK, as you can see above.
📍London, England, UK
UK and England’s Capital, London, is the another chosen location for filming, and it has a large population. London is situated on the banks of the River Thames in the southeast of the island of Great Britain. According to the 2019 census, London’s total population is around 8.982 million.
📍Drayton House, Northamptonshire, England
Location: Lowick
The scene shown in the trailer for the series in which Elisabeth Moss (Imogen Salter) walks in a castle-like structure was actually filmed at Drayton House, Northamptonshire.
This is a Grade I listed country house of several periods in the village of Lowick, Northamptonshire. You can clearly see all the scenes shot at Drayton House in the background of the film.

Canterbury Cathedral is a Cathedral in Canterbury, England, which was opened in 1834, this church was Designated on December 3, 1949. In a scene in the series, Elisabeth Moss’s character visits a church which is actually the interior of Canterbury Cathedral.
