The Book of Clarence is an upcoming drama film directed and written by Jeymes Samuel. Sony announced the film’s release date of the film. The film is inspired by the biblical epics of old Hollywood.
The film will follow the tale of Clarence played by LaKeith Stanfield living in 29 A.D., a denizen of Jerusalem who tries to capitalize on the rise of the influence of the Messiah for himself for that he follows a journey that leads him to explore the idea of faith and to a highly unexpected path of his own.
The film includes LaKeith Stanfield, Omar Sy, James McAvoy, Anna Diop, Teyana Taylor, David Oyelowo, RJ Cyler, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alfre Woodard, and Marianne Jean Baptiste and additional cast members include Caleb McLaughlin, Nicholas Pinnock, Micheal Ward, Chase Dillon, Tom Glynn-Carney, Babs Olusanmokun, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.
Sony has set the film The Book of Clarence’s release date as September 22, 2023. Filming of the film began in November 2022 in Matera, Italy.
