Queen of the Ring is a new upcoming American biographical sports drama by Sumerian Pictures. Its Directorial Credit goes to director Ash Avildsen. The movie is about female professional wrestler Mildred Burke and is also based on Jeff Leen‘s 2010 book The Queen of the Ring: Sex, Muscles, Diamonds, and the Making of an American Legend.
Along with Calamity Jane and Autumn and the Black Jaguar star Emily Bett Rickards, the other cast members in this movie include Kelli Berglund, Walton Goggins, and Josh Lucas.
The story follows a single mother from a small town who loves wrestling, even though women aren’t allowed to do it in the U.S. She takes a big risk and fights her way to the top, becoming the first female wrestler to make a million dollars and proving that women can be just as strong as men.
