Film Movement has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming film, Mother Couch which is trending on the internet today.
The distributing company has dropped the trailer yesterday, on 10 May 2024 which features Ewan McGregor as David, Rhys Ifans as Gruffudd, Taylor Russell as Bella, Ellen Burstyn as Mother, Lara Flynn Boyle as Linda.
The two-minute 9-second clip is focused on a mother having conflicts with her three children, David, Gruffudd, and Linda. The trailer gets interesting when Burstyn’s character refuses to leave a furniture store and sit on a couch.
David tries to convince his mother to leave, but she refuses and warns her children that she will fight them if they try to carry her out of the store. The siblings lost in thought as to why their mother was behaving strangely.

What is the story about?
The official synopsis says, “The members of a dysfunctional family find themselves mysteriously trapped in an antiquated furniture store when their elderly matriarch (Ellen Burstyn) suddenly refuses to get up from one of the display couches.”
“Reluctantly assembled, her three estranged children – David (Ewan McGregor), Gruffudd (Rhys Ifans), and Linda (Lara Flynn Boyle) – must figure out how to escape this bizarre predicament.”
“With the help of the store managers, Marco & Marcus (F. Murray Abraham), and their daughter Bella (Taylor Russell) the siblings embark on a mind-bending odyssey that forces them to face life-altering truths about their own lives and upbringing.”
Director, Niclas told People about the film by saying, “I had to make something bold for my directorial debut,”
He added, “Something unexpected and unseen. In my wildest dreams, I couldn’t imagine doing that without this remarkable cast. It has been a wild ride and it is a wild ride we present to the audience. I cannot wait to get this strange and beautiful story out in the world.”
