The Palace of Caserta was used to film the exterior of Theed Royal Palace featured in the fictional Planet of Naboo. The actual palace scenes where Queen Amidala lived in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace were filmed at the Caserta Palace in Italy. The grand architecture of the palace and its vast gardens created a majestic setting for the Naboo set.

Plaza de España is a plaza located in the María Luisa Park in Seville, Spain. Mainly this Spain Square was built in the year 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It can be called a historical example of Regionalism architecture as it blends elements of several Spanish architectural styles.
The background used to film the streets of Theed in 2002’s Film “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” featured on Naboo Planet was actually shot around Plaza de España.

The location depicted as Padmé Amidala’s lake retreat in 2002’s Film “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” is actually a scene from the Villa del Balbianello, Because the beautiful gardens and coast of Villa del Balbianello provide the perfect backdrop for filming the idyllic scenes of the fictional Naboo.
