‘Mission: Impossible 8’ Filming Continues in London, Release Pushed to 2025

These days, our beloved American actor and film producer Tom Cruise is busy filming Paramount’s new film Mission: Impossible 8.

The new film of the Mission: Impossible film series in which Tom Cruise is working these days is the 8th installment of the Mission: Impossible film series and direct sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One which was released in 2023.

The current title of Mission: Impossible’s newest addition is “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two,” which is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and scripted by Bruce Geller, Erik Jendresen, and Christopher McQuarrie.

The news of Mission: Impossible 8 Filming came when the leading actor, Tom Cruise, was seen at the ‘Trafalgar Square’ in London, reports People.

This Sunday, our beloved actor was spotted filming scenes for the next Mission: Impossible movie in London Tube station called ‘Trafalgar Square.’

Cruise closed the gates for Trafalgar Square as he was shooting inside. The actor continuously coming in and out from the London Underground station.

When the actor came in front of the public, he looked very happy and fresh. He also spoke with crew members between takes.

The actor was captured in a black suit while he was running down the streets of the capital.

Apart from London, the filming will be held in South Africa, Port Edward, South Africa, Aurland, Norway, and Svalbard, Norway. Fraser Taggart is doing the Cinematography.

‘Mission: Impossible 8’ will be released in 2025

The eighth Mission: Impossible film was planned to be released on June 28, 2024, but production was paused due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which led to the change of the release date from June 28, 2024, to May 23, 2025.

Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part Two was not only affected by the strike; several other projects were also kept on hold.

Some of them include Deadpool 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Venom 3, Thunderbolts, Mufasa: The Lion King, Elio, and more.

Who is making Mission: Impossible 8?

The film will be helmed by an award-winning Writer, Producer, and Director, Christopher McQuarrie, and the screenplay is penned by Erik Jendresen and director, Christopher McQuarrie.

Katy O’Brian, Tom Cruise, Hannah Waddingham, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Nick Offerman, Pom Klementieff, and Simon Pegg are in the leading roles.

Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie are producing the film, with EPs Chris Brock, Dave Caplan, Jason Cloth, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Tommy Gormley, Don Granger, and Susan E. Novick.
