Homeless Forced to Move as ‘Bad Boys 4’ Films in Downtown Miami

According to a report, due to the ongoing shooting of the upcoming movie “Bad Boys 4” in the tent area of ​​Miami city, people were asked to leave there.

Matthew Williams who is 44 years old told the paper, “It’s because of that new movie that’s filming. They moved us because we were too close to their set. They didn’t want the fancy movie people from out of town seeing the homeless exist in Miami.”

The filming of the “Bad Boys 4” is being shot in Miami and around southern Florida, which creates traffic around the area.

As per the New York Post report Miami Police Officer Michael Vega told the newspaper that it is illegal for people to put up a tent on city property and officers were simply enforcing the law.

He said, “No one other than those approved by the film crew can be in that area,”

Vega said, “It is not that Miami Police doesn’t want them to see the homeless population. They can see it through all of downtown Miami.”

Miami Police suggested that homeless people move to a shelter instead of staying on the streets.

Vega told The Herald, “They’re offered to go to a shelter, and if they refuse, then they have to leave the area. Before the officers tell them to move, they are offered help, and most refuse to accept it.”

Felicia Evans, who is 55 years old says “We don’t have too many places to go. They’re filming for Will Smith, and we can’t go that way. It’s difficult. I don’t know what the next steps are going to be because all of the shelters are full.”

Evans says that he was afraid of his strangers, so he could not even sleep properly in her tent. She already lost her identification card and air mattress. she said “We need help.” “What’s next for us to do?
