Gen V, which was released in 2023 and received positive reviews from the audience, is returning with its second season, whose filming has begun.

Here is the good news for the fans of Gen V as the series has moved ahead with one more season as the filming has begun.

After a delay to address the passing of actor Chance Perdomo, Season 2 of the spinoff of The Boys has now started filming.

One of the cast member, Derek Luh, who portrayed as Jordan Li, a male form of Jordan, went to Instagram on 13 may for posting the behind-the-scenes images from the set of Gen V season 2. His post confirms his return in the second season. He captioned the post by wriitng, “brb”

In the first post Derek shared the picture of the set’s door and in another he shared his mirror selfie while getting ready for the shoot, wearing a “God U” jacket.

Lizze Broadway’s Instagram story is also getting viral on the social media as it features two chairs from the filming site. The chairs were all black in color, in which it was one of Lizze Broadway’s character name Emma, and in the other, it was written Jordan.

Luh, London Thor and series name, “Gen V” were tagged in the story revealing that they might sharing a scene together.

In an interview with Arc Studio, Thomas Schnauz who serves as the writer Gen V season 2 revealed in march that the filming will be start soon, “They start shooting in not too long up in Canada, probably two or three weeks.”

On May 5, 2024 the producers stated that “we begin production in May.”

Who is returning in Gen V Season 2?

Jaz Sinclair as Marie, Lizze Broadway as Emma, Maddie Phillips as Cate, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan, and Asa Germann as Sam are coming in the leading roles as they all have posted about filming on social media.

Chance Perdomo, who died in a car accident character will not return in the season, has been rewritten to address his absence. The producers confirmed it by saying, “We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines.”

The roles of Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett and Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman are expected to come back as their roles are larger roles in Gen V season 1.

Gen V Season 2 is led by Steve Boyum, who was also engaged in making the first season. This time, the story is written by Seth Rogen, and it is executively produced by Steve Boyum.
