Emily Blunt, who wins everyone’s heart with her acting, reveals what happens when an actor doesn’t get along well with her costar—especially when taking romantic scenes.
On April 30, The Fall Guy star Emily Blunt appeared on The Howard Stern Show to discuss the romantic scenes of movies and reveal her chemistry with her fellow actors.
While having a conversation, she told host Howard Stern multiple times, “I’ve had chemistry with people I haven’t liked.”
When the interviewer wanted to ask which actor she was talking about, she refused to tell and said, “I’m not gonna tell you.” She added, “I have had chemistry with people who… I have not had a good time working with them,”.
“Sometimes it’s a strange thing. Sometimes you could have a rapport that’s really effortless, but it doesn’t translate onscreen,” she continued. “Chemistry is this strange thing. It’s an ethereal thing that you can’t really bottle up and buy or sell. It’s like there or it’s not.”
“It’s just easier when you have a natural rapport with someone,” Emily Blunt added.
Blunt also revealed that she uses some tips when she has to create chemistry with her co-star when nothing else works—like asking her co-actor to try to behave better on camera or trying to like something.
She added, “I’ve got to find something I love about everybody. I have to find something … Even if it’s one thing,”
“It might be that they have a nice laugh or I like how they speak to people. They’re polite. I mean, it might be something random,” she continued.
“But find something you love about that person or something you love about them as the character and then kind of lean into that.”
Emily Blunt also discussed the efforts made to create good chemistry with the co-stars and their romantic by saying there were some awkward moments on set.
The host questioned, “Have you wanted to throw up?” about shooting the romantic scenes with co-star, to which she replied: “Absolutely. Absolutely.”
“I wouldn’t say it’s sort of extreme loathing, but I’ve definitely not enjoyed some of it,” she added.
Along with the chemistry topic, Emily Blunt’s “stressful” stunt is also making headlines. On Saturday, the Pain Hustlers actress also disclosed the movie in which she did the most “stressful” stunt.
“That entrance was very stressful for me,” she talked bout the scene.
The actress talked about the entrance scene by saying, “had to start in the clouds and come all the way down toward the ground while holding an umbrella aloft. And I’m supposed to walk effortlessly into my close-up as if it’s nothing.”
