The duo of Elizabeth Banks and John S. Rally is making headlines today as they are appearing in Amazon’s new thriller DreamQuil.
Fans are desperate to see The Hunger Games star, Elizabeth, and the Guardians of the Galaxy actor on screen as they are working together for the first time.
Apart from DreamQuil, the actress is also working on Christine Jeffs’s A Mistake, Taylor Hackford’s Signal Hill, Craig Gillespie’s The Better Sister, Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner’s The Miniature Wife, Austin Peters’s Skincare, and Stephen Root’s Bedrock.
On the other hand, John C. Reilly is only working in DreamQuil, where he is seen with The Hunger Games star, Elizabeth.
Who is behind DreamQuil?
The film is being led by Alex Prager, who also made Miller Lite – Farewell Holiday Work Parties, Directed by Alex Prager, Play the Wind, Run, and more.
Currently, only two people have secured their places in the cast, and those two are Elizabeth Banks and John C. Reilly, they are playing the role of Carol and Gary in the film.
Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman, Vincent Landay, Alex Prager, and Alison Small are working as the producer with line producer Scott Putman.
The filming has commenced and is being shot in Los Angeles. Hanway will continue sales at the Cannes market next week.
And the synopsis says, per Deadline, “Set in the not so distant future, pic charts the story of Carol (Banks), a dissatisfied career mother, who is struggling to find real connection within her marriage to Gary (Reilly) and to her child.”
“Worried that she could be heading towards divorce, Carol leaps at the chance to get her life back on track by signing up for DreamQuil’s unconventional digital wellness retreat.”
“However, things take a sinister turn upon Carol’s homecoming, and the story has been described as a cautionary tale about what happens when Artificial Intelligence and automation are integrated into our daily lives.”
Paramount’s Republic Pictures has purchased the North American rights to the film in pre-sales. In addition, HanWay has also closed deals in international markets, which include companies like The Jokers (France), TFG (Greece), Mars (Turkey), MCF (Former Yugoslavia), Arthouse Traffic (Ukraine), Front Row (Middle East), Cinesky (Airlines) and Shaw (Singapore).
