Deck the Sets: Duluth Takes a Holiday for ‘Rescue Christmas’ Filming

Another Christmas movie is coming.🎄 The film cast and crew are in Duluth this week and using the North Shore as a backdrop for the film.

“Rescue Christmas.” is the upcoming romantic film and The Lake Superior Railroad Museum announced it would be closed Monday and Tuesday for filming the film. The film is being created by the same production company that produced “Merry Kiss Cam” the Duluth set last year and was also released on Hulu, per the museum.

The railroad museum will play a larger role in the film “Rescue Christmas”. “The filming in the Lake Superior Railroad Museum will use Depot Square as a quaint Christmas Village backdrop.” the museum said

“The historic steam locomotive William A. Crooks will be a mini Polar Express and a former art space adjacent to the museum has been transformed into Santa’s workshop. The Magic of Hollywood!” the museum added.

“Unlike Merry Kiss Cam, where the train had one scene, the Lake Superior Railroad Museum and Depot will be in many scenes, especially Santa’s workshop,” it adds. “It’s there that two elves of Santa’s elves plot to save the spirit of Christmas,” they concluded.
