Brad Pitt will be joining Formula One drivers in Silverstone during the British Grand Prix which includes Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and Lando Norris.
Brad Pitt is set to film his new F1 movie reportedly titled “Apex” for Apple TV+ and the film will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, the director of Top Gun: Maverick and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, and Hamilton.
Pitt will have a fictional teammate, Damson Idris who will be playing the role of Joshua Pearce in the film. Details about the film are still under wraps but Kosinski and Bruckheimer shared some information during the Miami Grand Prix weekend at a panel in May saying, “creating an 11th team filming on track and on the event from Silverstone to the end of the year”.
A garage for Pitt’s fictional F1 team has been spotted at the location, ahead of the race, and above that garage, we can see an image of Pitt wearing a racing suit and aside his character’s name was written, Sonny Hayes.
The event’s moderator Will Buxton said, “The film’s team has created the smallest moveable 6k camera ever designed to take the viewer into the cockpit”, where the cast member will be driving the race cars. “That’s right. Brad Pitt driving an F1 car from Silverstone onwards,” Buxton said.
