Netflix is always looking for something different, and this time, too, they have brought a new story for us which shows the story of father and daughter.
All parents are going to like this series because they can understand what the loss of a child would be like for his parents.
Netflix has released the trailer of this fantastic series, today it is trending on the internet and parents are liking it more.
The trailer was released Today, on 2 May 2024, which shows Benedict Cumberbatch portrayed as a father who doesn’t understand much and becomes unraveled as her beloved son goes missing.
Benedict Cumberbatch is the first to be seen as the trailer opens who is searching his son. The trailer says in the beginning, “Forty-eight hours since Edgar Anderson was last seen around 8:00 a.m. en route to school”
After that, the entire trailer is about the search for the child, to know the complete story and whether the child is found or not, we will have to watch the entire series.
Who made Eric?
Lucy Forbes, who is best known for his work in This Is Going to Hurt, The End of the F***ing World, and In My Skin, has directed this latest film.
The story is written by an award-winning writer, Abi Morgan, and is produced by Holly Pullinger and writer, Abi Morgan, with executive producers Lucy Dyke, Jane Featherstone, and Lucy Forbes.
Apart from Benedict Cumberbatch, the leading cast includes Ivan Morris Howe as Edgar, Gaby Hoffmann as Cassie Anderson, McKinley Belcher III as Michael Ledroit, Roberta Colindrez, Jeff Hephner, Wade Allain-Marcus as Ali Gator.
What is the story about?
As per the synopsis, the series is focused on “the desperate search of a father when his nine-year-old son disappears one morning on the way to school.”
On March 13, 2024, Benedict shed light on what story he was going to show in the series. He stated, “Looking at parenthood, looking at marriage, looking at mental health, looking at the AIDS pandemic, but also the ongoing crises of homophobia, of racism in institutions,”
The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star added, “There’s a lot going on, and yet it does speak to our world. It’s not cramming stuff in that we’re not, sadly, all too familiar with.”
The rest of the cast includes Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, Phoebe Nicholls, David Denman, Bamar Kane, Adepero Oduye, Alexis Molnar, and Donald Sage Mackay as Jerry.
Eric will start streaming on May 30, 2024 on Netflix.
