When and Where was Boarders Season 2 Filmed?
The second season of the Boarders series was filmed last year in Bristol at The Bottle Yard Studios with the support of the Bristol Film Office. Filming for Season 2 took place in Summer 2024 and continued for 12 weeks.
The stunning European locations used in Boarders Season 2 have played a huge role in bringing this exciting story to life.
Actually Boarders was produced for the BBC by Studio Lambert (part of All3Media) in co-production with Tubi and ZDFneo. Following the successful shooting of series one in 2023, series producers returned to Bristol for 12 weeks in the summer of 2024 to film its second season.

📍The Bottle Yard Studios (Bristol)
Address: Whitchurch Ln, Bristol BS14 0BH, United Kingdom
The Bottle Yard Studios, the biggest film and TV studio in the West of England, was used to create interior sets for the characters’ homes in London. Some outdoor locations within the studio were also transformed into various settings for the show. The filming crew used the facilities at The Bottle Yard Studios to film the interior sets of the series’ characters’ houses.
📍Clifton College (Main School Location)
Address: Clifton College, 32 College Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3JH, United Kingdom
The same Bristol school that was used in Season 1 served as the primary setting for St. Gilbert’s, the elite boarding school featured in the series. The filming unit chose Clifton College to film all the school exterior and interior scenes featured in the series.
Clifton College is a Public school in Bristol, England which was founded in 1862, John Percival is the founder of the College and it has a capacity of 1,200.
This prestigious public school located in Bristol offers a co-educational environment for students aged 13-18, with both boarding and day options available.
📍King’s Road, Clifton (Lewisham Market Scene)
A bustling market street scene, where the five main characters gather before heading to school, was filmed on King’s Road in Clifton, Bristol.
📍Ammerdown House & Brean Theme Park (Somerset)
Address: Christian College Ammerdown Hous, Radstock BA3 5SH, United Kingdom
Parts of the series were also filmed at Ammerdown House and Brean Theme Park, adding variety to the show’s settings. Ammerdown House, Kilmersdon is a Building in England that was built in 1788 and also designated as a Grade I listed building. This building was built by James Wyatt for Thomas Samuel Jolliffe

Jaheim’s home neighborhood was brought to life at Dove Street Estate in Kingsdown, Bristol.
📍Berwick Lodge (Near Bristol)
This stunning lodge on the outskirts of Bristol was used for certain key scenes in the series.
📍Badminton House & Village (Gloucestershire)
Scenes were shot in the beautiful Badminton House Grounds and the nearby Badminton village, providing an elegant and classic backdrop.
📍’The Road to Nowhere’ (Yate, South Gloucestershire)
This mysterious road in Yate, South Gloucestershire, was another key filming location.

- The Bristol Film Office and The Bottle Yard Studios played a huge role in supporting the production.
- Local trainee Sophie gained valuable experience working in the art department through the Workforce Development Programme at The Bottle Yard Studios.
