Angus Cloud’s upcoming Universal monster thriller film completed production on his role in directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillette before his death, a source close to the project confirmed.
The upcoming film stars Claudette alongside Kathryn Newton, Dan Stevens, Alisha Weir, Kevin Durand, and Will Catlett. Melissa Barrera, who was in the cast of the fifth and sixth “Scream” entries, reunited with Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillette for the film. The monster thriller film is set to release in April 2024.
The pair play the directorial roles behind a group called Radio Silence, which also includes producer Chad Vilella. Trip Vinson is also serving as the producer with William Sherk, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt for Project X Entertainment.
The thriller film is not yet completed and is also affected by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike with other films and series.
Euphoria star, Cloud died on Monday 31, July at home in Oakland California. The Oakland Fire Department said it responded to a medical emergency at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The actor was dead by the time he reached. According to the Oakland Police Department, Claude’s cause of death is currently unknown and an “active death investigation,” is ongoing. The actor was just 25.
Universal did not comment on how Angus Cloud’s death affects the ongoing production.
For Angus Cloud, the upcoming Radio Silence feature represents his next major project after his breakout turn as lovable drug dealer Fez in “Euphoria.” The actor was a main cast member in the two current seasons of the series.
