Metro Vancouver, British Columbia
Greater Vancouver well known as Metro Vancouver is a metropolitan area in the city of Vancouver. One of the main filming locations of Alaska Daily includes Metro Vancouver and the cast and crew started the season 1 production from Vancouver.
The US Consulate in the series was recreated at the Fortress Film Center at 1745 West 8th Avenue and Pine Street. Some key scenes were recorded at 1950 Franklin Street in the city. The filming also took place at Burnaby, Steveston, a neighborhood in the city of Richmond, and Cloverdale, a town center in the city of Surrey.
Alaska Daily series was also recorded in Squamish and the cast and crew specifically shot many scenes at the Squamish Spit and Estuary, a popular location with a beautiful view of the Stawamus Chief. Shannon Falls Road the lead to Shannon Falls Provincial Park also used to film a few scenes of the series.
North Slave Region, Northwest Territories
The North Slave Region or Tłicho Region is one of five administrative regions in the Northwest Territories of Canada and another filming location of Alaska Daily.
The cast and crew were spotted filming in Dettahis a First Nations community in the North Slave Region of the Northwest Territories. Most of the exterior scenes from the film were shot in this location and the exteriors of an old age home were shot at the City Hall.
Anchorage, Alaska, USA
Anchorage is Alaska’s largest city and is in the south-central part of the state well known for its cultural sites. As the show is set in Alaska it is expected for the cast and crew to film in the location. Then cast and crew set up camp in Anchorage. Grace Dove who played Roz Friendly also posted some pictures from the shooting in Alaska.
