Filming reportedly began on September 29, 2025, in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The shoot was first planned to end on February 13, 2026, but What’s on Netflix reports that it ran about a week longer and wrapped for most of the cast on February 22, 2026. The same report embeds a wrap post that mentions 89 days of filming. Please treat that number as a report, since we could not check the original post. We could not confirm who handled the cinematography, and we will add it as soon as it is credited.
📍Toronto, Ontario
Toronto is the main shoot location listed for The Body, and the production cast local background actors for it. We could not confirm which Toronto streets, buildings or studios were used, so we are not naming any. The story is set in a small town, so the city and the areas around it are likely standing in for that town.
Another series shot in the city and across Ontario is Prime Video’s Sterling Point. If you like following shoots around Toronto, our city page has more. Since no exact venue is confirmed for The Body, it is best not to assume that any public place in the city was used.
📍Dundas, Hamilton, Ontario
Dundas is a town inside the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, roughly an hour by road from Toronto. The show’s Wikipedia page lists Dundas among the filming locations and cites a Hamilton Spectator report dated December 19, 2025. The headline of that report says a school in Dundas doubles as the horror high school in the series.
We could not open the full report, so we could not confirm which school it is or which scenes were shot there. We will add the name as soon as it is confirmed. Since schools are active places, please check before visiting and do not enter school grounds.
📍Other Areas of Hamilton
Locals also spotted the production in Hamilton in early November 2025. According to the same What’s on Netflix report, a large base camp stood at the former Stoney Creek Dairy site, near Rymal Road and Tapleytown Road, and trailers carried the show’s name. A base camp holds trailers and crew, so it does not mean any scene was filmed there. Please treat this as a local sighting only.
📍Brampton, Ontario
A casting guide from Backstage says background actors had to live in or near the Canadian shooting locations, including Toronto and Brampton. We could not confirm the exact place in Brampton or which scenes were filmed there, so please treat Brampton as reported only.
The Body Behind the Scenes
To make your search for The Body filming even more interesting, here is what the creator has shared so far. Quinn Shephard calls the tone “gritty camp” in her Netflix interview. She also names Carrie, Jennifer’s Body, Heavenly Creatures and Mean Girls as her inspirations.
Fun fact: if you enjoy teen horror shot on location, our Carrie filming guide covers a separate upcoming series, which was shot in Vancouver.
We will add more cast and crew Instagram posts and set photos here as soon as they are shared.
Is There Any Trailer Available for The Body?
Yes. Netflix released the first official trailer in mid-October 2026, and Netflix Junkie reported it on October 12. It shows the Catholic school dance team, a wild party and the start of the visions. You can watch it on Netflix’s official YouTube channel.
