Paris is the county seat of Bourbon County, and its historic downtown stood in for Main Street in Comfort. LEX 18 reported that the 600 block of Main Street was used for a party scene on April 9, and volunteer extras were invited from 5 to 8 p.m., wearing winter clothes.
Extras were asked to park at Paris First Christian Church. A snow machine turned the street into a winter scene, even though it was spring, and WYMT quoted the machine’s operator as saying, “Right now there is a 100% chance of snow in Paris, Kentucky tonight.” Betty Ann Allen of the Paris Bourbon County Tourism Commission added, “We’re known for our horses, history and hospitality so this just fits in almost everything.”
Visiting: Downtown Paris is a public place, so you can walk the 600 block of Main Street any time.

Oasis Special Event Productions is a reception venue in Paris, and it was dressed with Christmas trees, a stage and decorations for the party scene. Its owner, Chris Haley, told LEX 18 that he had worked in the business for over 40 years, “but never here in Paris, and never in my own reception venue.” He also said he had only a few weeks’ notice to get the building ready. Since it is a private venue, please check before visiting.

Serendipity PublicHouse is a restaurant and bar in Midway, in a pre-Civil War building across the train tracks in the historic downtown, according to The Local Palate. Ryan McPartlin told Southern Living that the crew was “able to film in Serendipity Public House, which was great because they were just opening,” and The Local Palate says it opened in May 2026, which fits that. We could not find a street address, so please search the name on a map before you visit.

McPartlin also said that Just Love Coffee “is a real coffee shop that we’re using the name in it.” We do not know which branch or town was used on screen, so it is best not to assume a specific shop. The coffee link makes sense, because Nick Day is a coffee-chain owner.

Lexington was the cast and crew’s base for several weeks. Off set, McPartlin said they went “over and over again” to Carson’s Food & Drink, and also enjoyed Agave & Rye and McCarthy’s Irish Bar.
