Lacey Chabert has filmed more than 40 movies for Hallmark Channel — but her most recent production gave her a moment she is still struggling to fully believe actually happened.
Speaking exclusively with Just Jared at a Hallmark store event in Clark, New Jersey on July 27 — where over 400 fans lined up to meet her — Chabert opened up about filming her new Hallmark+ limited series Paris Is Always a Good Idea, which premieres on July 30.

The Eiffel Tower Night Nobody Will Forget
When asked about the highlight of filming in Paris, She’s Making a List star Chabert didn’t hesitate. The standout moment came during an overnight shoot at the Eiffel Tower — already a surreal experience for the entire cast and crew — that took an unexpected turn when the weather decided to make things even more dramatic.
A massive rainstorm rolled in during filming. Then, in what Chabert described as a completely surreal twist, it started snowing. In March. At the Eiffel Tower. On a Hallmark romance series that is decidedly not a Christmas movie.
She described the entire evening as simultaneously bewildering and spectacular — one of those moments on set where the reality of what you’re actually doing lands all at once. An outdoor walk-and-talk scene filmed in front of the Arc de Triomphe carried a similar energy, leaving her genuinely breathless mid-take at the realization of where she was standing.
Her First Hallmark+ Series
Paris Is Always a Good Idea is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name and marks Chabert’s first scripted limited series for the network after more than two decades of Hallmark films. The six-episode run follows a woman revisiting three relationships from a decade earlier across three countries — Paris, Spain, and Ireland — while simultaneously confronting who she was back then and how much she has or hasn’t changed.
Chabert described the longer format as a meaningful creative shift — giving the story and its emotional stakes room to breathe in ways that a standalone film simply cannot. The show premieres with two episodes on July 30 and releases weekly through August 27 on Hallmark+.
Disney World Is Next
Chabert also teased her upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie Holiday Ever After, which filmed across all four parks at Disney World and is set to air during Hallmark’s annual Countdown to Christmas. She described the project as a childhood dream come to life — complete with riding the actual rides as part of production — and said she cannot say enough about how proud she is of it.
Paris Is Always a Good Idea premieres July 30 on Hallmark+.
