Lindsay Hubbard Was Mid-Confessional During In The City Filming When Amanda Batula & West Wilson’s Romance Broke — “Lucky Timing For Us!”

Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard just revealed one of the most jaw-dropping behind-the-scenes moments of the entire Amanda Batula and West Wilson scandal — and the timing couldn’t have been more cinematic. As it turns out, when the bombshell relationship announcement hit the internet on March 31, Hubbard wasn’t scrolling her phone on the couch. She was sitting in front of a camera, mid-confessional, filming for the upcoming Bravo spinoff In The City.

Cameras Were Already Rolling When the Bombshell Dropped

During a recent stop at DECIDER’s studio, Hubbard opened up about the wild moment she discovered the news about her co-stars’ unexpected romance — and she called it nothing short of a “sneak attack.”

“I was doing confessionals right when the announcement was posted that West and Amanda announced that they were together,” she revealed. “That’s on camera! I don’t know if that’s going to be a pickup or not, but they were already rolling, so lucky timing for us, I guess.”

The announcement, which Batula and Wilson released jointly, confirmed that the two had grown romantically close following Batula’s separation from husband Kyle Cooke. In their statement, the couple described their bond as rooted in a “genuine long-standing friendship” that evolved into something neither of them anticipated.

The news sent shockwaves through the Bravo universe, with fans and fellow cast members — including Hubbard herself — quickly rallying behind Ciara Miller, who many believed was rekindling her own romance with Wilson based on events shown in Summer House Season 10.

What Makes It Into the Final Cut? Hubbard Says It’s a Tough Call

While Hubbard confirmed her raw reaction was captured on film, she admitted she has no control over what makes it into the episode. She said she doesn’t “envy” the production team tasked with making those editorial decisions.

“These scandals are very impactful, and they can rock our world as they have,” she said. “It’s the only thing that we’ve been consumed by and talking about every day for the last two months. I don’t know to what capacity those pickups are going to make it or what they involved or what was said. But we need a play-by-play. We need cameras on us at all times, honestly.”

She also noted that additional scenes were recently filmed for the premiere episode following the public revelation of Batula’s new relationship — though Hubbard confirmed she was not part of those extra pickup scenes.

Lindsay Open to Filming Her Sit-Down With Amanda

In a particularly intriguing tease, Hubbard revealed that Amanda Batula has recently reached out about meeting up — and Lindsay said she’d be open to having that conversation filmed for In The City.

“I mean, we’ve come this far. Who knows what could happen?” she said coyly.

As for whether Ciara Miller would take issue with the meetup, Hubbard didn’t seem too worried. She made it clear that her willingness to sit down with Batula isn’t about taking sides — it’s about honoring a long history of friendship.

“Everyone knows where I stand on this issue,” she said. “Whenever Amanda and I do meet, it’s less about like, ‘Oh, Lindsay’s gonna take Amanda’s side,’ [and] it’s more about the long history of friendship there between Amanda and I, between our group of friends. I think that deserves a conversation.”
