Zion National Park is a nature preserve. The National Park is a dramatic landscape with colorful deep canyons, high cliffs, mesas, and forested plateaus. Popular activities in this park include hiking and horseback riding.
The little town in the film in which Butch and Sundance hide with Etta was filmed at the Grafton Ghost Town, which is next to the Virgin River in southwestern Utah.
The Grafton Ghost Town was used for filming in the film. Etta’s home was also built for the filming purpose. Snow Canyon is also used to capture the Landscape for the movie.
Cave Valley, Kolob Region, is located on the west side of Zion and is not in the park properly. The scenes in the film where Butch was with Harvey Logan to establish his leadership scenes were entirely filmed in Cave Valley, Kolob Region of Zion Park.

Trimble Bridge on the Animas River in southwest Colorado. The famous jump scene from the film in which both Cassidy and Sundance take a risky leap into the depths of a canyon was filmed in this location.
