The 2023 science fiction horror film M3GAN is already at the top of our must-see list for the year it is going to release on January 6, 2023, by Universal Pictures and had its world premiere in Los Angeles on December 7, 2022.
Megan is directed by Gerard Johnstone from a script by Akela Cooper and Produced by James Wan and Blumhouse.
Megan tells the story of an AI doll named M3GAN – whose attempts to protect a young girl quickly turn deadly.

Principal photography for the film began on July 5, 2021. Blumhouse recent horror film Black Christmas was also filmed in New Zealand. After getting the great experience of shooting a film in New Zealand the team decides to return to the country for their new project.
In an interview with KFTV, the head of physical production at Blumhouse told ” We are looking to shoot M3GAN in Auckland, which will double for the US. We had a great experience with the kiwi crew on Black Christmas, and so decided to take on another project there using local talent.”
“The suburbs of Auckland will be made to look like “a Denver, Colorado type feel” for the M3GAN shoot.
