📍Heiðmörk Nature Reserve
Heiðmörk Nature Reserve, located approximately 50 minutes outside of Reykjavík, was a primary filming location for King & Conqueror. The production team constructed a small village at Hjallaflöt, within the reserve, to depict medieval settlements.
The expansive lava fields and rugged terrain provided an authentic backdrop for the series’ battle scenes. Notably, the Battle of Hastings was recreated in this area, featuring over 180 extras and 50–70 horses.

The capital city of Iceland, Reykjavík, served as a location for several interior scenes.
